Welcome to REMO-MD
REMO has been in the forefront of EMS in New York State since 1975, when Howard "Doc" Westney started the first paramedic program in upstate New York. In the last few years, REMO proudly has been the first Region in New York State to advance our providers to "standing order" pain management for our patients, has developed protocols that have served as a model for many other regions throughout the state, and has now implemented a pain management program with fentanyl.
REMO is proud to have an incredibly active Medical Advisory Committee, with membership from each of the regional hospitals and close contacts with major hospitals near our borders. This resource allows our providers to access an impressive amount of continuing medical education, as well as involved medical oversight.
